Barbecue Ribs Recipe
Ingredients:
- 2 racks of baby back ribs (about 4 pounds)
- 1 cup of barbecue sauce
- 1/4 cup of brown sugar
- 2 tablespoons of paprika
- 1 tablespoon of garlic powder
- 1 tablespoon of onion powder
- 1 tablespoon of chili powder
- 1 teaspoon of salt
- 1/2 teaspoon of black pepper
Instructions:
- Preheat your grill to medium heat or preheat your oven to 325°F (163°C).
- In a small bowl, combine the brown sugar, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, chili powder, salt, and black pepper to make the dry rub.
- Remove the membrane from the back of the ribs and generously season both sides of the racks with the dry rub.
- If grilling, place the ribs bone-side down on the grill and cook for about 2 hours, basting with barbecue sauce every 30 minutes. If baking, place the seasoned ribs on a baking sheet and bake for 2 hours, basting with barbecue sauce every 30 minutes.
- After 2 hours, check the ribs for tenderness. If they are not tender enough, continue cooking and basting for an additional 30 minutes to 1 hour.
- Once the ribs are tender, remove them from the grill or oven and let them rest for a few minutes. Cut them into individual ribs and serve with additional barbecue sauce on the side.
FAQs about Barbecue Ribs Recipe
Q: Can I use spare ribs instead of baby back ribs?
A: Yes, you can substitute spare ribs for baby back ribs in this recipe. However, spare ribs may require slightly longer cooking times to become tender.
