FAQs about Ujeqe Recipe
Q1: Can I use whole wheat flour instead of all-purpose flour?
A1: Yes, you can substitute all or part of the all-purpose flour with whole wheat flour for a healthier version of ujeqe. However, the texture and taste might be slightly different.
Q2: Can I add additional ingredients to the dough?
A2: Absolutely! You can experiment with adding ingredients like grated cheese, herbs, or spices to the dough to enhance the flavor of the ujeqe.
Q3: Can I make ujeqe without a steamer?
A3: If you don’t have a steamer, you can still make ujeqe by improvising with a large pot and a colander. Simply place the colander inside the pot, add water to the pot (making sure it doesn’t touch the colander), and place the dough balls on top of the colander. Cover the pot with a lid and steam as usual.
